Traffic

Do you love it? How true. We hate for our journeys to be interrupted. It really makes us angry for the way to be blocked or multiple lanes to be taken down to one. And does it piss you off when someone whizzes past you only to try and jump in front of you when the lanes merge? Does me.

What I hate is for that mad rush, jockey for position mentality to bleed into the writing, which is what it feels like when I'm cheking sales rankings on Amazon or rushing to an online site for promotion.

I just want to tell my story, have fun, let someone escape to another world, write the best thing I can. Okay, so it's not realistic. I don't care. The writing is the fun part. That's what I want to do.

What's the part of the writing process you hate the most?

Spring in Oklahoma

Snow one day, seventies the next. Just love our weather. Sat on the patio in the nice weather watching the snow from the day before melt. Nuts but normal for us.

The brace is off next week so I maybe can begin to get some word count done. I hope to have half my WIP or at least one third done by conference. We'll see what happens there. I'll have to write at work and home and work is getting much too intense for much of that. This week I need to re-look at the plot and make sure there are enough elements to carry the story, plus work on other stuff to add elements to the story, like the Witches wheel and best days for what kind of spells. Witchy stuff.

Does anyone remember the old "Dark Shadows" TV soap. Vicki, Mrs. Stoddard, David, BARNABUS the ominous vampire, Willie Loomis, the show's Renfield. Abysmal acting, fashion I wore when I was in my twenties-and I'm old, organ music at strange times to let you know a line of dialogue was important, since you might not have known by the actor's delivery. Watched some episodes with friends on Saturday. Too much fun.

4 Heart Review From All Romance Studio

Had to share a new review for Museums are Murder

Tali Cates' mother is driving her nuts with her dire warnings from her spirit guides, a different one every time, and her insistence that Tali pay attention to the spirit world Tali doesn't believe in. Then Tali starts feeling like she is being watched and when she delivers a stain glass box she made for a local museum exhibit someone is murdered. Then to add to Tali's uneasiness her mysterious former lover Aiden Courtland has reappeared and claims she must use her power to stop the evil. What is going on has everyone gone crazy?

This is a good spooky and mysterious mystery filled with intrigue and paranormal elements that combine for a very imaginative story. Tali does have some unique abilities that she has been unwilling to recognize but now her life may depend on her learning quickly what to do. Tali, however, is very independent and stubborn. Aiden is a vampire and has been assigned the task of protecting Tali and convincing her to use her powers for the vampire council. And of course there is the history of their former relationship that doesn¢t seem very distant when they are around one another.

Aiden and Tali seem to want the same thing but pride can be a powerful aspect to have to overcome so reviving the romance between them is not a given. I liked the creepiness that Ms. Shenold is able to convey in this mystery and the twist she throws in for the ending! If you love mysteries that are a little spooky this is a good one. I want to read more mysteries about Tali and her friends and family so I hope there are more planned.
Overall rating: Sensuality rating: Very sensual

Sorry Readers

I've been neglecting all my readers. I had surgery on my right hand for a ruptured tendon and typing in a brace is challenging. However, it's been ten days since surgery, the stitches are out and very little pain. I'm learning to work around it.

I'm also working on getting print copies of my books so I can schedule a couple of events and see if I can sell some books, and get them into book stores. I'm going to keep posts short until typing improves but I'll post again soon and hope to have some guests with give-aways.
