WICKED
I
shall be
horrible
when I am an
old woman who sits
and whispers wickedly,
stories into children's ears.
They must lean closer and closer
to hear me murmur tales so evil.
Careful kiddies. Too close and I will bite.

Very cool, great form. Awesome last line.
Brilliant! Makes me think of Hansel and Gretl. ;)
Like the style, love the content. I'm planning on being a nasty old woman myself. :D
Great going. I too plan on being an evil old woman..:D
Thanks guys. I'm so glad everyone liked it and it's so much fun to play with the form.Carol
I LOVE the way this starts, like the old woman in purple hats or whatever it is. And then you turn it on its head so wonderfully -- THAT is the kind of old woman I would rather be. Defintely.
It's fun to do poems with a shape to them isn't it.
I'm going to be the grumpy old woman at times, too, just to get back at my kid :)
